Our one hour sculpt classes combine dumbbell free-weights, fit tubes, kettlebells to give you an all over body workout, while defining and shaping your muscles.
Instead of your traditional weight lifting which requires heavy weights , 3 sets with breaks in-between, we focus on burning more calories and reducing fat while working the muscles.
Our program requires numerous amounts of reps with less weight and no rest, because we do not perform sets. This maintains the heart rate at a higher level for a longer period of time.
You will not be left alone. We realize that most of us were not born in a gym.
Not only will we teach you how to use the different apparatus, we structure the workout to guide you through in a safe and effective manner. While performing each exercise the instructor will educate you on the prime, assistant movers and stabilizer muscles that your body is employing during that movement. Beginners or members with preexisting skeletal or muscle injuries will be given modifications to enable them to eventually adapt to the basic exercises if possible.
The typical individual trains almost entirely concentrically (accelerating a load). Without the ability to stabilize and decelerate forces, the individual is prone to injury when engaged in regular activities or sports which involves changes in speed, direction, or variable intensity for a given period of time (recreational activities, playing with children, carrying groceries). Our goal is to teach the body to control movement eccentrically (ability to decelerate forces), isometrically (stabilizing loads and body positions in space), and concentrically.
