

How I got into fitness:
Fitness has been part of my life for over 20 years — it's truly my daily dose of feel good. I first started working out when my kids were little; as a stay-at-home mom, going to the gym became my "me time," a space to recharge physically and mentally. What began as a daily routine quickly turned into a lifelong passion and a core part of who I am. For me, fitness has never been about appearance — it's about how it makes me feel: strong, balanced, and energized. Over the years, I've fallen in love with all kinds of group classes - from spin and step to TRX, kettlebells, boot camp, kickboxing, yoga, and both Pilates mat and reformer. Each format challenges me in a new way and connects me with a community that shares my love for movement. After two decades, fitness is still my favorite form of self-care. It reminds me every day that health is wealth, and that taking care of yourself is the foundation for everything else in life.
Why UKB&F?
I first found Ultimate Kickboxing & Fitness when I started personal training with Monique, who encouraged me to try the classes — and the rest is history! From the very first session, I was hooked. I love the variety, the challenge, and the energy that every workout brings. But what really makes UKB&F special is the community. There's a sense of camaraderie and realness that you don't find everywhere — we're all humans juggling busy lives, showing up for ourselves, and supporting each other through the wins and the losses. It's not just a gym; it's a space that feels like home. UKB&F offers so much more than great classes - it offers connection, motivation, and a reminder that we're stronger together.
